Teaching Religious Studies in the Senior School Years 6 - 8

Pupils follow Syllabus A of the revised Common Entrance Curriculum 07/2006.

Great emphasis is placed on contemporary modern issues linked to Christian teaching. Increased weighting has been given, in both planning for and delivering the curriculum, to the beliefs and values of major world faiths.

Durlston Court is a Christian school with its own Chapel. The Religious Studies Department is a major contributor to the Moral, Social, Personal development and Citizenship curriculum of the school.

Preparation for Common Entrance is seen as a 3 year programme of study.
