Welcome to the Library
A few years ago, there were over 3,900 books fiction and Non Fiction) since then the number has significantly increased as we keep up to date with modern authors. At the same time we keep most of the 'old books' as the children often ask to read what their parents read in their young days.
The fiction books cater for children of any age ranging from 7 to 13 (Pre-prep maintain their own library for younger readers) as well as for children with reading difficulties. Each class in the main school is timetable for a weekly lesson of 40 minutes. During these periods, children choose and exchange books and are encouraged to read quietly.
During the breaks (morning and lunch) children visit the library to read, do their project work or research, under the supervision of the Librarian. The Library is very widely used and enjoyed by all children. |
Mrs Irene Ananin
"The Library is very widely used and enjoyed by all of the children."
