Geography in the Timetable

Geography is taught in a dedicated slot of a minimum of 90 minutes per week, rising to 120 minutes as circumstances dictate, e.g. case study or fieldwork projects.

Dedicated I.T. Suite time is set aside alongside Geography lessons to permit use of a bank of computers.

The Allocation of Topics

Year 6 - Tectonic Activity, Weather and Climate, National Parks, OS Map Skills and Locations in UK and Europe

Year 7 - Rivers, Glaciation, Coasts, Urban/Rural Settlements, Weathering/Erosion, OS Maps and World Maps.

Year 8 - Industry, Agriculture, Industrial processes, Environmental Issues, Sustainable Development.
