History in the Timetable

The Black Death

History is taught as a separate discipline.

In Year 6, the lesson is one hour per week; in Years 7 and 8 the time allocated is 90 minutes per week.

Certain topics e.g. Government and Parliament, Religion, the role of women can be linked in a cross-curicula way to PSE, Citizenship and Current Affairs lessons.

History also contributes heavily to Citizenship and Moral Education lessons.
