Shakespeare 4Kidz a Midsummer Nights Dream

Midsummer Night’s Dream Cast Comments

The time taken to make this wonderful production was really worthwhile. (Megan Croker)

Hearing the songs for the last time really upset us as we will not be doing this again. It has been a privilege being picked to play Hermia. (Julia Antram)

My favourite part of being in ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ was being a small part of something huge. I also loved having make-up and face paint put on by Madam, Mrs. Hayter and Mrs. Gill. (Abigail Macklin)

The performance in ‘Midsummer Night’s Dream’ for me was very nerve-racking, but it was a great experience. (Nicholas Barker)

Being in the play was an awesome, fantastic experience and I think the final performance was brilliant; everyone says it was 100%. (Christian Anstee)

During the build up to the production I thought the three nights would never come. On Wednesday it was the best, the mechanicals got the loudest cheer and I’m sad it’s over. (Florence Coath)

The anticipated night came quicker than we expected and after many weeks of rehearsing, it was time to perform. The performances flew by until suddenly Mr. Wansey was making one of his famous speeches. (Georgia Leach)

Being in the play was really fab; it was the highlight of my whole time at Durlston. I am glad I got the part I auditioned for- there were just the right amount of words. I would have been a terrible fairy… a lover wouldn’t have been much better for me either! (Charlotte Harris)

Everyone worked really hard and it turned out to be just fabitty-fab! (Katy Nixon)

My best bit was when Bottom turned into an ass and the fairies threw the confetti! (Danielle Clapcott)

I will always remember it and think of the characters as they were that night. (Serena Bourne)

The excitement really gets to you when the blazing lights illuminate your face… I shall never forget my wonderful dress! (Oliver Fairweather)

On the Wednesday I had a bit of a panic attack, because I was waiting for my cue but it was never said, so I just remembered what Mr. Fulton said, and spoke my line. (Christian Wood)

I was Bottom the weaver; on the first night I was quite nervous but as I did more I got more confident and really enjoyed it. (Barnaby West)

I got a real worry when I broke my toe 1 week before the production, but… it healed (thank goodness)! I hope the DVD will sell out quickly! (Oliver May)
